Her research is framed within the scope of Applied Linguistics to Language Teaching and Methodology, and Language Teaching in the field of English for Specific Purposes. Her research focuses on the study of language in the field of English for Specific Purposes. The theoretical framework drawn upon considers recent path of research in the field of Applied Linguistics (English language teaching in the different fields of specialization), paying special attention to the field of medical English and those aspects related to the didactics and methodology of English for Specific Purposes. Furthermore, she analyses the specific characteristics of the specialized languages (terminology, discourse analysis, textual types, etc.) and aspects related to the translation of specialized texts.
